They will just keep releasing differently themed stuff, and when something you want shows up, you'll be enticed to spend your IRL money on it.
If you really want one of the extra dropsuits, either buy the new merc pack, or wait until the player market is implemented and buy it with ISK. But don't whine that you bought something else and now you wish you bought this instead, that's on YOU, not CCP. But I didnt buy something else, its the same merc pack. Reread what I've posted. I said it would be ok to release these as separate suits with items specific to their class as a NEW merc pack. If I sold you a ps3 system one day, and the next day offered the same exact thing, same price, but with 2 free games, would you not try to ge the 2 free games? The bend over and take it attitude does nothing to help gamers who get screwed over.
Thank you, exactly what I was thinking too when I read his post. Infact if you read what CCP is saying there is a very narrow window of oppurtunity in which to acquire this and be eligibal in which to obtain those exclusive dropsuits. Which is wrong. Especially considering most of us already bought this same pack monts ago, and some even bought two or more. They should really just put the MAG dropsuits back into the market for AUR, or give them to everyone who ever bought one or more of the 'Mercenary Pack' since you know we willing supported this [beta] by purchasing them even withought knowing whether or not this game would succeed or not.
All-in-all? It feels like a backstab to those of us whom already purchased the pack. Made worse that they offered the same pack a month or so after I purchased it at full price to those coupon cultist for ten dollars. That aside this is a backstab I won't allow. I really dislike arseholes whom continue to allow for such gross obese business practices which are unethical and wrong. Just because, you are all too willing to get on your knees and allow them to make such choices does mean we have to do so.

Just because, you are all too willing to get on your knees and allow them to make such choices does mean we have to do so. I cannot believe some people. I just don't see it. Both of your posts just sound like entitled rants. You purchased the pack when it didn't have the exclusive extra, now it has it. Big deal. If you want the stuff that's available NOW, then buy it... that stuff wasn't available THEN. No one forced you to buy the merc pack, and no one said "we will never make a similar offer with more/different stuff". To be clear, you guys (and I as well) didn't buy the "SAME PACK", because this merc pack is a special offer to entice people to buy it RIGHT NOW... not 2 months ago, not 2 weeks ago, not 2 days ago, NOW. The pack WE bought was the one from previously that didn't include this offer. Now look, if you bought the merc pack say... YESTERDAY, I can see at least being irritated and making the argument that maybe they should go ahead and upgrade you to the current offer, but CCP would in no way IMO be ethically or morally obligated to facilitate such a request. There is no "gross obese business practices" occurring here, and it most certainly isn't "unethical" or "wrong", I mean, that level of hyperbole is just utterly ridiculous. They're offering a special incentive if you "act now", there's nothing abnormal about such practices. Just because you purchased something previously, doesn't mean you should automatically get any free offers that ever end up being offered with the product in the future, that's just absolutely silly. Apply this same argument to anything else and it becomes ridiculous. Hell, Paran's analogy to buying a PS3 and then demanding the free games that come from a different offer after he made the purchase is just as ludicrous. Seriously, you guys sound ridiculous. Bend over and take it.
Do not waste your breath on that fool. As soon as he whipped out the "entitled" crutch as his main stay argument I stopped listening, reading or caring as to his/her opinion. They do not get it, and they are the same people that are part of the problem with this industry. They'll defend the industry on every choice they make and no matter how bad the legit consumer is depressed, and brutalized. They have a mental illness for people like them -- Stockholmes syndrome. Seriously I bet he still believes that 'piracy' is the real threat to the industry.
Moving on though to the topic. I agree with you, Paran Tadec, in that the MAG affiliated dropsuits should be released back onto the market as they were before, or sent to everyone who has ever purchased one or more of the 'mercenary pack' either then or now. As you pointed out it's the exact same 'mercencary pack' now with a "small" limited timed window for which to obtain these dropsuits which is ludicrous if not inane, unethical and wrong. It certainly sends the wrong signals to those of us whom are supporting this game, and testing it even, and the fans here. Especially those of whom as I said before supported the [beta] by buying these packs initially upon their release. |
